Carlton Duane Randleman, Jr., MD is the President and CEO of Varicosity Management Group. Born in Atlanta and raised in Birmingham, Dr. Randleman’s interest in medicine was easily influenced by these two strong communities. Upon receiving his Bachelors of Science with Honors, Cum Laude from Samford University, he remained in Birmingham to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the UAB school of Medicine. After deciding to pursue his post-graduate training in surgery, Dr. Randleman completed his General Surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta.
Returning to Birmingham in 1991, Dr. Randleman joined Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, where he practiced cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery. In 2002, Varicosity Vein Center was established with the mission to revolutionize the treatment of varicose and spider veins in the Southeast. Since that time, the increasing patient demand for Varicosity’s exceptional services have paved the way for two vein center locations and, in January 2010, Dr. Randleman decided to devote his practice solely to vein surgery.
Dr. Randleman is board certified in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Vein Surgery. He is the Medical Director of Varicosity Vein Center, where he currently performs over one-hundred forty endovenous ablations each month. He is the Founder and CEO of Best Vein Care, an organization that established the first voluntary regulatory framework in the venous community.
As a vein care consultant for Community Health System, Dr. Randleman has helped establish over 40 hospital-based vein centers and trained over 400 physicians and mid-levels. His belief, that success is defined by identifying a need and fulfilling it, has been the foundation upon which he has built an extraordinary medical career.
